An easy stop that’s hard to leave.
Montana Highway 200 stretches more than 700 miles across the state, and Lost Moose Meadows sits right on it between Missoula and Great Falls.
Our pull-through sites make it easy to get settled after a long day of driving, with room for many rigs to stay hooked up overnight, depending on your combined vehicle length and site. Many guests plan on one night and end up staying longer.
Highway 200
Coming from the west
From Missoula it’s about 77 miles, or an hour and a half, heading east. Much of the drive follows the Blackfoot River through canyons and open valleys, and it’s one of the prettiest drives in the state. Watch for the turnoff to Garnet Ghost Town along the way.

Coming from the east
From Great Falls it’s about 87 miles, or an hour and 45 minutes, heading west. You’ll cross the Continental Divide at Rogers Pass, famous for the coldest temperature ever recorded in the lower 48 states, about 25 minutes before you reach us.
Between Glacier and Yellowstone?
If you’re traveling between Glacier and Yellowstone, Lincoln can make a good place to break up the drive. Glacier is about three hours north through the Seeley Swan Valley, and Helena is about an hour south if you’re heading toward Yellowstone.
Big rig friendly
Pull-throughs run up to 115 feet, every site is level, and every site has full hookups with 20/30/50 amp. The campground is easy to reach right off the highway.
Stretch your legs
If you only have one night, there’s still plenty to enjoy. Take a walk to the Blackfoot River, stop at Sculpture in the Wild just east of town, or let the dogs run in our fenced dog park. And if you have a clear night, don’t miss the stars.
