No lodging tax. Montana doesn’t charge the 8% Lodging & Tourism Tax on stays of 30+ nights.
Select sites only. Monthly stays are on certain Standard Back-In sites on the east side, based on availability.

Room makes a difference when you’re staying a month

When you’re settling in for a month, space makes a big difference. Many of our sites have nearly 100 feet between neighbors, and every site includes full hookups and free WiFi. Guests also enjoy our fenced dog park, restrooms, and showers.

A laundromat is available in Lincoln, less than 3 miles from the campground. Helena is about an hour away for larger supply runs, and Missoula is about an hour and a half.

Ideas for a month in the mountains

A month gives you plenty of time to explore without trying to fit everything into a few days. Here’s one way to spread it out.

Week one: Settle in, walk down to the Blackfoot River, visit Sculpture in the Wild, and spend a few evenings watching for elk and deer around the campground.
Week two: Take a day trip to Helena by way of Marysville, and hike to Heart Lake in the Scapegoat Wilderness.
Week three: Ride up to Granite Butte Lookout, explore Garnet Ghost Town, and plan a clear night for stargazing.
Week four: Make the big trip to Glacier, or head south to Philipsburg and Georgetown Lake. See our day trips for more.
