The simple rules that keep the campground quiet, safe and friendly for everyone. Please read them before you arrive.

When we’re here
Office hours
The office is open 9am to 2pm Mountain during the season. You can call us 8am to 8pm Mountain at (406) 204-0424.
Our season
We’re open April 15 through October 15. The last night of the season is October 14, with checkout on the 15th.
All year
We answer questions and take reservations all year long. Call, email or book online any time.
Your site
What’s included with your site
Each site includes
- One RV
- Two adults and two children (17 and under)
- Two pets
- One tent. We do not offer tent only campsites. A tent may accompany an RV reservation within our site occupancy rules.
- One vehicle. A travel trailer or fifth wheel with its tow vehicle is fine, and so is a motorhome with a vehicle in tow. ATVs and UTVs don’t count as vehicles.
Extras
- Extra adults: $3 a day each
- Extra children: $2 a day each
- Extra pets: $2 a day each
- Extra tents: $5 a day each
- Extra vehicles: $5 a day each, as long as they fit the parking rules
Charging an electric vehicle requires booking a separate site.
Your booking
Sites aren’t first come, first served. We welcome walk ups, but if we’re full we may not have a site for you.
Have a favorite site? When available, you can guarantee a specific site number by adding the optional $50 nonrefundable site lock. Without it, your site number may change within the same site category, and we will never downgrade your site. Your assigned site will fit the RV information you give us when you book.
If something isn’t right with your site, please check with us before moving so we don’t create a conflict with another reservation.
Please don’t
- Repair or wash vehicles at your site
- Tie anything to the trees or light fixtures
- Change the electric, water or sewer connections at your site

Check in
Check in is any time after 1pm. Arriving after office hours? Your check in packet will be posted on the office door, with a map to your site. See Arrival & directions.

Check out
Check out is before 11am. Late checkout must be arranged with us in advance, is subject to availability, and costs $10 for each additional 30 minutes after 11am.

Quiet and safety
Keeping it peaceful
Quiet hours
Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. Generators aren’t allowed at the campground at any time.
Driving and parking
- Watch for people, kids and wildlife, and follow the speed limit and traffic signs
- No parking on the grass or the roads
- ATVs and UTVs are welcome and follow the same driving and parking rules
- Please be courteous when riding through town and neighborhoods
Kids
- Please don’t leave children unattended
- Guests under 18 need an adult with them in the restroom and shower buildings
Not allowed
- Smoking or vaping in any building, at the dog park or at the playground
- Firearms, archery, paintball, slingshots and air guns
- Fireworks of any kind
Pets
Bring the dogs
The basics
- Two pets per site stay free. Extra pets are $2 a day each
- Keep pets on a 6 foot or shorter leash, and pick up after them
- Pets must be current on vaccinations
Please
- Don’t leave pets alone in your RV or vehicle
- Keep barking to a minimum
- Make sure whoever walks your pet can control it
- Use the fenced dog park for off leash play, and be respectful of others there
Wildlife and campfires
Sharing the valley
Bears
Bears live around Lincoln, like much of western Montana. Keep your site clean and store food, pet food, trash and other scented items securely inside your RV or in an approved bear resistant container. Please don’t leave these items outside overnight.
Elk, deer and birds
Please don’t chase or scare the animals, or let pets go after them. Wild animals can defend themselves when bothered, so keep kids and pets close when they’re around.
Campfires
Campfires are welcome in your fire ring, subject to any fire restrictions in place. Please watch your fire and make sure it’s cold before you leave it.
Around the park
Shared spaces
Trash
Set your trash out in a tied bag in front of your site before 11am, and we’ll pick it up after 11am each day. Please don’t leave it out overnight.
Break down cardboard and set it under your bag, since we recycle it. Anything too big for a standard 55 gallon can won’t be collected. Bear resistant bins are also around the campground.
Restrooms and showers
They’re yours to use. Please take out anything you bring in and keep them clean for the next guest. No washing dishes in the restrooms.
WiFi
Free WiFi is available across the campground. It’s best effort and not guaranteed, and reception inside an RV can vary.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome. The person who booked the site is responsible for making sure everyone with them follows these rules, including parking.
Payment and stays
Paying for your stay
Cards only
We’re a cashless campground. Site fees and store purchases are paid by credit or debit card, and you can charge store items to your site.
Deposits
Stays under 5 nights are paid in full when you book. Stays of 5 nights or more need a 20% deposit, with the balance due 7 days before arrival.
Cancellations and leaving early
Cancellation fees are based on your full reservation total, not just the deposit. There are no refunds after check in, including for leaving early. See the cancellation policy.
Fine print
Terms of your stay
Management may refuse service, limit the length of a stay or the number of people or vehicles on a site, and remove any person or party without a refund at any time.
RVs, motorhomes and travel trailers must be in good working order and appearance. We may refuse access to any rig we find unacceptable.
Our staff can’t work on guests’ RVs, vehicles or equipment.
Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by them, their family, visitors or pets. We may charge for damage to the grounds, sites or facilities, including broken water lines, damaged or missing sewer connections, cable lines, landscaping and excessive debris such as bottle caps, zip ties and cigarette butts.
Lost Moose Meadows Campground and Lost Moose Meadows LLC are not responsible for damage, injury or loss to people or property, including loss from fire, theft, weather, acts of nature, accidents or any other cause. Guests and their visitors agree to hold Lost Moose Meadows Campground and Lost Moose Meadows LLC harmless from all such liability.
