Campground Rules and Regulations
Welcome to Lost Moose Meadows RV Campground — your basecamp for adventure in the heart of Western Montana.
Lost Moose Meadows RV Campground is a small, family-run RV park that welcomes all types of RV travelers, from weekend explorers to full-time road warriors. These guidelines are here to help ensure a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please take a moment to review them before your stay.

Campground Season
Lost Moose Meadows Campground is open on a seasonal basis from April 15 through October 31. Weather conditions may allow for an extended season at the discretion of campground management.
We are available year-round for questions and reservations. Please contact us anytime.
RV Sites & Occupancy
RV sites are not available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests may make a reservation upon arrival if a suitable site is available; however, guests without a reservation may be turned away if the campground is full.
If there is an issue with your assigned RV site, please contact management before moving to another site. Moving without approval may create a conflict with another reservation.
The following are included or permitted with the nightly site fee unless otherwise noted:
One RV per site.
One tent per RV site.
Additional tents: $5 per tent, per day.
Two adults and two children per site.
Additional adults: $3 per person, per day.
Additional children age 17 and younger: $2 per person, per day.
Two pets per site.
Additional pets: $2 per pet, per day.
One passenger vehicle per site. A travel trailer or fifth wheel with its tow vehicle is permitted. A motorhome with one towed vehicle is permitted. ATVs and UTVs are not considered additional passenger vehicles.
Additional passenger vehicles: $5 per vehicle, per day, provided all parking guidelines can be followed.
Electric Vehicle Charging: A separate site must be purchased to accommodate charging an electric vehicle.
No vehicle repairs or washing of vehicles are permitted.
Please do not tie anything to trees or light fixtures.
Guests may not alter or modify electrical, water, sewer, or other utility connections provided by the campground.
Lock Fee Policy
Lost Moose Meadows offers a $75 non-refundable lock fee for guests who want to guarantee a specific site and ensure that their site assignment will not be changed. This can be helpful if you need a certain site for accessibility, want to be near friends or family, or simply have a favorite site.
That said, we actually prefer guests not use the lock fee unless having a particular site is important to them.
As a small, 40-site, family-run campground, flexibility in our reservation schedule is important. When sites are locked, it limits our ability to adjust reservations and accommodate other guests, particularly during busy periods.
Without a lock fee, your reservation may be moved within the same site type. You may also be upgraded to a pull-through site at no additional charge if doing so helps us accommodate reservations.
We will never downgrade your site or place you in a site that does not accommodate your RV or required hookups.
We generally move only shorter one- or two-night reservations. Longer stays will typically remain in their originally assigned site.
If you are booking multiple sites and want the sites to remain next to one another, each site must be locked individually.

Check In & Check Out Times
Check-in time begins at 1 p.m.
Guests who arrive before 1 p.m. and wish to occupy their site will be charged an early check-in fee of $10 for each 30-minute period, or any portion of a 30-minute period, before check-in time. Early check-in is subject to site availability and approval by park management.
Your check-in packet will be placed in the brochure holder on the office door for you to collect upon arrival and will include a map to your site. Please be sure to approve our terms and conditions prior to arrival. A link to the terms and conditions can be found in your reservation confirmation email.
Check-out is before 11 a.m.
Guests who have not fully departed their site by 11 a.m. will be charged a late departure fee of $10 for each 30-minute period, or any portion of a 30-minute period, past check-out time.
Late check-out may be available if there is no conflicting reservation and must be arranged with and approved by park management in advance. The same $10 per 30-minute period, or any portion thereof, late departure fee will apply.
If your site is needed for an arriving guest, you may be asked to relocate to an available overflow area.
Quiet Hours & Noise
Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Generator use is not permitted.
Wildlife
Bears are known to frequent the Lincoln area, as is the case throughout much of Western Montana. Please help reduce the likelihood of a bear visiting the campground by keeping your site clean and free of food and other attractants.
BBQs, human food, pet food, trash, and anything else that may attract wildlife should be stored indoors whenever possible.
Elk, deer, and many species of birds also frequent the area. Please do not chase, scare, harass, feed, or allow pets to show aggression toward wildlife.
Wild animals can attack when approached or provoked. Please closely supervise pets and children whenever wildlife is present.
Pets
We understand how important pets are and welcome them at Lost Moose Meadows. The first two pets are included with your site.
Pets must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under the control of someone capable of managing the animal at all times.
Please pick up after your pets and dispose of pet waste properly.
For off-leash exercise and play, guests are welcome to use the campground dog park.
Pets may not be left unattended at campsites or in vehicles or RVs.
Excessive barking is not permitted.
Pets must be current on required vaccinations.
Campfires
Campfires are permitted only in designated fire rings and may be restricted or prohibited during local fire restrictions or bans.
Guests are responsible for safely managing their fires and must make certain that all fires are completely extinguished and cold before leaving them unattended.
WiFi
WiFi is available throughout the campground for guest use. Please keep in mind that campground WiFi is provided on a best-effort basis and is not guaranteed.
Trash
Bear-resistant trash containers are located throughout the campground for guest use.
As an added convenience, we provide daily campsite trash collection. Place your garbage in a tied garbage bag in front of your campsite before 11 a.m. Please do not leave garbage outside overnight.
Trash is collected from campsites each day after 11 a.m.
Please break down cardboard boxes and place them underneath your garbage bags. Cardboard is recycled.
Items that will not fit in a standard 55-gallon trash container will not be collected.
Visitors & Registered Guests
Visitors are welcome. The registered guest is responsible for ensuring that everyone in their party and all visitors comply with campground rules.
All overnight guests must be included on the reservation. Any adults or children staying at the campground who were not included in the original reservation will be charged the applicable additional guest fee.
All persons using campground facilities, including the restrooms and showers, must be registered as either a campground guest or visitor.
If the number of people occupying or using a site exceeds the number listed on the reservation, the applicable additional guest fees may be charged to the payment method associated with the reservation.
Visitors and additional guests must follow all campground parking restrictions. Additional vehicle fees may apply.
Children
Please do not leave children unattended. We want everyone to have fun while remaining safe.
Restrooms & Showers
Restroom and shower facilities are available for registered campground guests and approved visitors.
Please help us keep the facilities clean by removing personal items after use and placing trash in the provided garbage cans.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult while inside the restroom and shower buildings.
Washing dishes in the restrooms is strictly prohibited.
Driving in the Campground
Please drive carefully throughout the campground and watch for pedestrians, children, pets, and wildlife.
All posted speed limits, directional signs, and traffic-flow signs must be followed.
Parking
Parking on the grass or roadway is not permitted.
All vehicles must be parked completely within the designated gravel parking area for your site or another area approved by park management.
ATVs, UTVs & Other Off-Road Vehicles
ATVs, UTVs, and other off-road vehicles are welcome. All campground rules regarding driving and parking also apply to off-road vehicles.
When traveling outside the campground, please be courteous and respectful while passing through residential areas.
Forms of Payment
Site rentals, merchandise, and other campground transactions may be paid by credit card, debit card, or cash.
As a convenience, additional campground fees and charges may be added to your reservation and billed to the original payment method on file.
Reservations
Full payment is required at the time of booking for reservations of fewer than five days.
Reservations of five days or more require a minimum 20% deposit. The remaining balance is due seven days prior to arrival.
If a reservation is shortened before arrival, cancellation fees will apply to the removed nights based on the campground’s cancellation policy and how far in advance the change is made.
Cancellation fees are calculated on the full reservation total, not only the deposit amount.
Extending Your Stay
If you would like to extend your stay, please contact management for approval before assuming that your current site will remain available.
Depending on existing reservations, you may be able to remain in your current site or may need to move to another available site.
Damages or Injuries
Customers are responsible for all damage or destruction of property, and any injury to persons, caused by the guest, their family, visitors, or pets.
Guests will be held financially responsible for damage to campground property, including but not limited to broken water lines, damaged or missing sewer connections, utility equipment, landscaping, and excessive debris such as bottle caps, zip ties, or cigarette butts.
Smoking & Vaping
No smoking or vaping is permitted inside campground buildings or offices, or in the dog park or playground areas.
Firearms & Fireworks
The use of firearms, archery equipment, paintball guns, slingshots, or air guns is prohibited within the campground.
Fireworks of any kind are prohibited.
Management reserves the right to refuse service, limit the length of stay and the number of persons or vehicles per site, and/or evict any person or party without refund at any time.
All motorhomes, RVs, and travel trailers must be in good working order and appearance. Management reserves the right to refuse access to any RV or vehicle deemed unacceptable.
Park staff are not permitted to work on guest RVs, vehicles, or equipment.
Management is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss to persons or property. The owners, members, and management of Lost Moose Meadows Campground and Lost Moose Meadows LLC are not responsible for loss caused by fire, theft, weather, acts of God, property damage, accident, or other causes, and guests and their visitors agree to hold Lost Moose Meadows Campground and Lost Moose Meadows LLC harmless from such liability.
