About Us
We’re Matt and Nichole Simpkins, the ones who turned Lost Moose Meadows RV Campground into reality. After years in Nevada’s mining industry, we moved to Montana, drawn by its outdoors and set on building something special. In April 2022, we got to work on this land, doing it ourselves—clearing the ground, installing the utilities, building the bathrooms and camp store, laying down roads, and setting up the RV pads. By July 2023, we opened the gates, ready to share it with people who value what this place offers. This isn’t just an RV park built to cram vehicles in; it’s a place to settle in, enjoy nature, and experience Montana camping done right.

What You’ll Find Here
- Spacious RV Sites: We designed Lost Moose Meadows with 40 full-hookup sites—17 pull-thrus (up to 90 feet) and 23 back-ins (up to 75 feet)—and chose to keep it that way. Instead of packing in more, we went with fewer, bigger sites, each spaced nearly 100 feet apart. It’s intentional: we wanted this place to feel like a hidden RV park, a private retreat where you’ve got room to stretch out, enjoy the quiet, and take in the surroundings without neighbors right on top of you.
- Practical Amenities: Clean restrooms with hot showers, free Wi-Fi, a camp store with essentials and souvenirs, fire pits for evenings, a playground for kids, and a fenced dog park for pets.
- Central Location: Lost Moose Meadows sits in a sweet spot—60 miles from Helena, 85 miles from Missoula, 80 miles from Great Falls, 55 miles from Phillipsburg, and 80 miles from Butte, with Glacier National Park about 160 miles away. You’re far enough out to feel the quiet of Montana’s wild country, but close enough to reach these towns and attractions for a day trip or a quick outing.
