Plans change. Here’s what to expect if yours do. Fees are based on your full reservation total, not just the deposit.
Refunds
If you cancel
Your refund depends on how far ahead you cancel.
- 30 or more days before arrival90% refundA 10% cancellation fee.
- 7 to 29 days before arrival80% refundA 20% cancellation fee.
- 3 to 6 days before arrival50% refundA 50% cancellation fee.
- 2 days or less before arrivalNo refundIncluding no shows who don’t call to cancel.
The site lock fee is nonrefundable.
Deposits
What you pay when you book
Under 5 nights
Paid in full when you book.
5 nights or more
A 20% deposit holds your site. The balance is due 7 days before arrival.
How fees are figured
Cancellation fees are based on your full reservation total, not just the deposit you’ve paid.
After check in
Once you’ve arrived
No refunds after check in
We can’t refund unused nights once you’ve checked in. That includes leaving early by choice, weather, acts of nature and removal for breaking the park rules.
No shows
If you don’t arrive and haven’t cancelled, your reservation isn’t refunded.

Want more nights while you’re here? Check with us first, since your site may be booked after you.
Examples
How it works out
A few examples using a $300 reservation total, so you can see how the fee and the deposit fit together.
Cancel 35 days ahead
A 6 night stay with a $60 deposit (20%). The fee is 10% of $300, or $30, so you get $30 of your deposit back.
Cancel 10 days ahead
The same 6 night stay. The fee is 20% of $300, or $60, which matches the deposit, so there’s nothing to refund.
Short stay, 10 days ahead
A 4 night stay paid in full at $300. The fee is 20%, or $60, so you get $240 back.
Short stay, 4 days ahead
The same 4 night stay. The fee is 50%, or $150, so you get $150 back.
The optional site lock is nonrefundable in every case.
Why we have this policy
A small campground with 40 sites
We’re a small family campground, and every site we hold for you is one we turn other guests away from. A cancellation a month out usually gives us time to rebook the site. One a few days out usually doesn’t. Our policy follows that, so the earlier you let us know, the more you get back. If your plans change, call us at (406) 204-0424 as soon as you can and we’ll walk you through it. Phone hours are 8am to 8pm Mountain.
